Percoset

Anyone have any experience with this painkiller? I had some leftover from my surgery this August and I've been taking it for my migraines (which have been quite frequent the past few weeks considering it's midterm time). Someone told me I should stop b/c it's a very addictive painkiller but it REALLY helps with my migraines...

do not take that stuff with alcohol. it'll wreck your liver.

please don't tell me your doctor just simply gave you percs for you migrane. That's bad medicine.

Your migraines may be sinus (allergy)-related or estrogen-related (if you are female).
Percocet have the potential to be very addicting.

Why don't you just get a prescription for a migraine medicine?
I like Zomig personally - it's the only thing that works for me.

In light of thebabydoc's response:
Advil - cold and sinus is very good over the counter.

They gave those to me for my knees. But I did not like them. I got my meds switched to Lorcet, which is not much less adictive but I like how it works better.

But you will be addicted in no time. As a matter of fact.. you most likley are for makin this post. I would get the hell away from them ASAP. I have to take them because I get hematomas in my knees. I cannot take an anti-inflam. but I wish I could. You should try Ultram. It is not addictive and it works just as good.

No Nature Boy, I had them leftover from my tonsil surgery....

Velvett...I am away at school and havent had time to go to my doctor back home for a prescription so I've been using percs in the meantime...

Ahhhhhh.

Hmm, if you have a history of them you may be able to talk the doctor into calling in a perscription for you. Is there a nurse or medical staff on campus?

If it gets really bad you could go to the emergency room.

Don't get yourself hooked on the percocets and keep your eyes peeled for any stomach cramps.
