I had some minor surgery on my ear and the doc gave me a smorgasboard of pain meds, codeine, percoset and darvoset. I was really looking forward to the percs but they made me itch like crazy, couldn't go to sleep and couldn't stay awake...kind of twilight weird dream hell for 3 hours. Does this stuff do this to anyone else???

I had an accident about 4 years ago inwhich I almost chopped off my left hand. Got this long frankstitch work going on and a bolt keeping things together. Anyway I was on those for "aboot" 3 weeks and made a booking error of 1.8 million on revenues. I ruled that month!!!

I know but this was more like a BAD trip.. I knew my husband was at his desk working but I thought I was lying on the floor unable to more or get up and I kept trying to scream but nothing would come out when actually I had never left the bed.

Sorry hun, I didn't see that you were a female. The trips will get better as the tolorance gets higher. If you are a BB and have some muscle, then your tolorance should skyrocket rather quickly as it takes alot more of an opiate to effect a person with less fat & more muscle I have read. I used to do a really bad type of opiate awhile back(you can use your head & figure out which one), and I was doing enough to turn most #300 fat guys blue in about 10 minutes.

Well then......That's a rather funny method of detoxing off of Percodan, considering that Oxycontin is the exact same drug just in alot higher doses, & w/o the APAP. Not saying I don't believe you, but rather it is funny how some Docs operate ya know?! O/T, take that Oxycontin one step further, and that's the one I was having problems with back in the day.

By the time they gave her the oxy's she was 85 and in severe pain but she had a HUGE tolerance because she had been popping a dozen or more percs a day for 15 years and she had a doctor that cooperated with her addiction.

I never heard it called that. but I know exactly what you mean since when hospitalized 5 years ago, I was given shots of demoral and after 2-3 shots I built up resistance and I was getting "the nod" after about 30 minutes. I felt like I was falling for about 30 seconds and just as i was about to fall asleep. I felt this snap and now I was wide awake. go through that for 3 hours...lukcily they switched me to percs and i was feeling tons better.

and then when I went to hospital again for the same thing they refused to give me percs because of addiction and started me off on morphone!!WTF!!

What do the darvocets look like? A bouncing friend of mine found some in a prescription bottle in the parking lot, but he wasn't sure if they were actually darvocets like the label said. I think it said they were generic.

Name brand darvosett are bright pink/red fairly large oval tabs. The generics I have are white oval tabs about 1/2" long or a bit more and have the numbers 93-490 on them. The bottle saysROPO-N/APAP 100-650TAB TEVA generic for darvoset-N

Percosets are great... but if you guys ever get a chance try the Duragesic patch - nothing else comes close to fentanyl... and a patch last three days.
