Im really excited to get my pedometer so that I can really keep track of the distances I run and hike. I got it for free when I pre-ordered my Atkins DVd that comes out soon from http://www.walmart.com/catalog/product.gsp?product_id=3216824&cat=4096&type=2&dept=4096&path=0:4096
I think this dvd will be an asset to my healthy life.

If you want a pedometer go to Mc Donalds and order that Adult's Happy meal...

You know a pedometer is not very accurate...it only tracks the "thumps" that felt off the ground.

The have very highly accurate pedometer type devices on the market only they are complete monitoring systems that have the ability to combine all the functions of a heart rate and speed/distance monitor with comprehensive training software.
So basically you are able to get accurate heart-rate and pace information;
download workout data to your computer, upload workout plans; they have a 100-lap memory which provides lap time, split time, average pace and average HR for each lap count and the stats mode recalls timing/lap memory, average pace, and average heart rate for each saved run. And the unit will actually alert you when you are running above or below your programmed pace and HR training zone.
