Pec/Chest Hard Gainer

I've had problems developing my chest my whole life.
I believe part of the problem is my shoulders get too big too fast and take the stress away from my chest.

When I do chest exercises my arms and shoulders get sore first.

What do I do???

I think you should a fly move first thing on your routine, then a press, then a fly move again, then finish it with a press, The fly move first will allow you to the stress on your pecs and leave the shoulders and tris at ease and one fly in between the presses follows the same principles. Try this:

Fly and Pull-Over hybrid 4x10-12 reps with max weight
(on these you grab the dumbells and lay on a low-incline bench and do a fly rep and pull-over rep alternately for a total of 5-6 each).

Then bench-press 3x8 max-weight all sets but all the way down and only two thirds up to keep the tension on your pecs.

Low pulley cable crosses 3x8 with a pause on the contraction point.

Low incline dumbell presses 3x8 (don't allow arms go below the paralel and don't allow dumbells to touch on top) twist your wrists on top at the point where your little fingers are pointing behind you.

Don't rest more than two minutes between sets.

Give it some time to adjust and your pecs will take over arms and shoulder.

GOOD LUCK

lighten the weight, increase time under tension, avoid lockouts, and focus on flexing the muscle each rep. you need to make a connection to flexing the muscles being worked. seems you maybe just going through the motions right now.
