Pec bruise

About 3 weeks ago I started trading drunken punches with a roommate of mine, and he was unloading on my left pec. It was sore to the touch for the first week and then appeared to heal up fairly well, but there was still underlying (deep tissue?) discomfort. Some days it is barely noticeable, whereas others, it is really affecting my lifts. Is this going to be a constant problem unless I stay away from the gym until it is healed?

Should be a short time problem. I was plagued with pec injuries over the last year. found the best to do is find exercises that would not aggrivate the area for a couple of weeks and if you can just stay away from it for a couple weeks you will not have to worry about taking a couple weeks off a muscle group, it's a short term fix.'

sounds like a deep tissue contusion. shouldnt be anything to worry about. stretch that bitch out and hammer the weights.
