peanut butter

I agree with Bowtech...but I would stick to all natural peanut butter with no sugar in it. It's much better for you and it takes a little getting used to, Iwas raised on it so I'm used to it. But you need the good fats in it. Eat up! :chomp:

Agreed. Mmmmmm... Natty PB, so good. "regular" PB tastes nasty to me now, the natty may take getting use to... but it's all worth it!

Personally I eat on percentages of my protein, fats, carbs, i usually use peanut butter as an evening reward depending on how well i've eaten that day. Basically my only other fats come from almonds and avocados.

Well on my bulk I eat about 5 - 6,000 calories. Are you gaining mass with that amount?

Depends on training regimine, height, weight... ect.

Well, I don't even buy ANPB because I end up eating it out of the jar with a spoon; It's like crack! I usually get most of my fats from fish and lean beef.

2 tbsp a day, 1200 cals, cutting right now...all natural 100% Valentia Nut butter...love Arrowhead Mills' :chomp:

If I eat ANPB, it must be spoon fed, then hidden ... only when cutting though, I don't crave it at all 'normally' ... but that jar calls out to you in the middle of the night, no joke.

The brand I (try not to) eat is President's Choice Extra Crunchy or Creamy is ok too. Macros on both...

Smuckers' ANPB is the one I buy almost weekly. I always buy smucker's because the grocery store doesn't care any other brand (wal-mart-is where I shop) I also eat it straight out of the jar and my wife looks at me like I'm a crack addict. I eat some ANPB everyday.

You took the words out of my mouth. LOL... got rid of it a week ago...miss it for sure...flax oil does NOT taste as good.

Ya know I really like just regular skippy PB... i just eat it in moderation and make sure it fits in with my calorie requirements, but only if I'm on my regular maintenance or gaining diet. If I'm cutting and doing low carbs I'll only eat regular PB on a carb up day
 
smuckers all natty here as well, you must have the anpb mixer though. it works well. mix it up place it in the fridge, great consistency everytime!! ieat 2 tblspns everynight before bed, it's my desert.

Peanut butter on HOt Oatmeal or on Whole GRain Toast Bread :p
 
can you get the same "good fat" from peanuts or almounds? is there a certain type of peanut i should look for or is any type good cuz i know you need the natural peanut butter so i was wondering if its the same with peanuts.
 
:chomp: I have the same problem with javaguru, mike li, and muchmass..

I've stopped buying it. I forced myself to use flax or fish oil as my fats instead, but often indulge with the ANPB.

I like the crunchy ANPB. Right now all I have is jars of creamy in the house though.

I bought a Smart Balance peanut butter with added Omega-3's, but it doesn't taste anywhere as good. Still tastest better than flax oil though.

Just fyi, I picked up Maranatha ANPB a couple weeks back (ok, 2 jars and one was gone in 3 days). Really good taste, nutrition content very similar as their Organic or ANPB (2.5 Sat Fat) and the key is... its no stir! :qt:

Raw Almonds & Walnuts are the better choices.

Grams of Fat consumed is subjective. It depends on what you want your total caloric intake to be, your goal & where you want your macro's to be
(i.e. 40% Protein / 30% Carbs / 30% Fat
..... 55% Protein / 35% Carbs / 10% Fat or whatever you're trying to adhere to

its cause fat is a "learned" taste. ;) I started eating peanuts a couple months ago and you know damn right i crave that shit like theres gonna be none tomorrow.
