can someone help me getting the toolbar to appear at the top of my computer screen that show the web address of a website?

for example if i was on elite fitness the toolbar would read: http://www.elitefitness.com. somehow i have manage to delete this and i cant type in web addresses.

btw this may not be called a toolbar so forgive for me if it is goes by a different name. thanks for your help.
