all natural peanut butter and regular grape jelly with high fructose corn syrup and all the other good things on white bread right after a workout? Good to spike insulin or not??

If you mean right after a workout, no.

It would be like adding 1 tbs. of olive oil to your PWO shake. The Fat from the peanut butter would just loose the purpose, so no.
 
no fat post workout

1. It will slow down the digestion of the protein (which I don't see mentioned in your post)
2. It will take a free ride on the insulin spike right into your cells
