Pay As You Go Cellphones

I have never previously owned a cellphone before and would like some feedback from anyone who has info on this subject. I was looking at the( t-mobil to go ) pay as you go plan(from t-mobil website) which from my interpretation states a $10 card equals 30 minutes, and $25=130 minutes etc.. At the stores(best buy, wall mart, etc...) they have phones from virgin mobil that states you buy a card for a certain price and calls are 25 cents a minute for the first 10 minutes each day and 10 cents after that... are virgin t-mobil and t-mobil seperate companies? anyone have experience with these plans? any info would be appreciated...

I was looking into getting one also. Yes t mobile & virgin are 2 different companies. I would suggest going with T Mobile or Cingular. They seem to have decent plans. My friend has virgin mobile & she always looses her calls. I need to find out more info. What I dont understand is...if you minutes run out & you don't replenish them for a month or so, is you account deactivated? Would you have to pay another reactivation charge once you buy some minutes again?

i worked in cell phones before. yeah pay as you go are alright if your not talking much, but then again t-mobile has a plan thats only 19.99 a month so that might suit you better. t-moblile and virgin mobile are different companies but virgin teamed with t-moblie to make go-phones.

thanks for the input guys..im going to go to the singular and t-mobil stores early next week or this saturday...i thought i should better educate myself on cell-phone knowledge.so i can make a smart purchase and not get screwed over by thee cell phone salesperson....huh...rustproofing for cell phones $20 extra///

I've had mine 2 months with 72 minutes left on it they call & say if i don't purchase more minutes by the end of this month it will be deactivated. Crooks!
