It seems to me that Paul had the tools to accomplish alot more than he did, I think he more than anyone else had the similar god given tools as Ronnie Coleman. It seems Ronnie utilized his gifts much more than Paul. Point anyhow, i believe Paul had the tools to be Mr. O.

He guessed posed at my State's show. Horrible poser, gets very winded with several simple poses. But definitely has physical attributes.

It seems like stuff that I read about him was that he was always a head case. He felt he never got the right call outs or that he should have placed higher than he did. His mouth turned him off for a lot of people.

yeah i read the same shit

The 90's- back when I was reading Flex. Def underated. Everyone would dismiss his placing by comparing some specific bodypart to someone else but I thought he packed plenty of proportional mass. He knew how to make his large frame work for him. Most of the workouts he posted, though, always seemed wack. One are two Smith machine presses and the rest cables. I always thought he was kidding us and that Flex probably didn't know what it was talking about.

I trained with Paul for a couple of months when he lived in Vegas. He does train with mostly hammer strength and cables but how can you knock someone's training style when he has that much muscle? Everyone says I do shrugs funny for instance, and my traps are one of my best bodyparts-so who cares. Paul is 42 and will be competing this year. He is by far one of the most down to earth, easy to talk to pros that I've ever met. He has always had problems posing but he's worked with alot of people to get better-Paul has always carried a shit load of muscle and has an even bigger heart-I hope he does well-

Paul was always one of my favorites back in the 90's.In fact I think he was ahead in points to win the Arnold when he had those massive cramps on stage,if I remember right they had to carry him off the stage.Maybe one of you guys remember the year 93,94?

Don't believe anything you read in those mags about how a certain bodybuilder works out. 1/2 of it is true. I like how Ronnie trains twice per week every muscle, but the two videos I have seen of his he works 1 muslce per week. Amazing.

Hey mlong23, you wouldn't happen to be related to IFBB pro Don Long. He was an awesome BB'er who developed health problems. Don Long kicked my ass in the Nationals one year and went on to earn his pro card.

That would be cool to actually be related to a pro, but unfortunately I am not. Than I would know much more, but for now I gotta learn it on my own.

No choice but to agree. Physiologically, some people are just on a different plane of reality. As for myself, I've always been stuck in the gravel pit.

How big is Paul these days relative to the Mr. 0's in the mid 90's? I met him at the '93 when I was 10 years old and he was phenomenally thick.

No offense, but if you were 10 he probably looked like he 7'10 and about 1000lbs.

I doubt the guy trained with hammer strength and cables his whole life. A lot of the bodybuilders switch to that at the end of their career so that they can avoid injuries as much as possible. To say that he gained his muscle by using those is crazy, but he does maintain it and add a little here and there.
