How do you handle it when you see a past love when you are out with your husband/wife/significant other?

I ran into an old girlfriend and she started talking to me and patting my arm and back like we were just friends, even though he knew we were more. I don't know him that well, but he just glared at her the whole time. I kind of felt sorry for him. I don't know if she was trying to make him jealous or what. It disappointed me that she was acting that way.

That sounds like something I would've done just being friendly... Maybe I'm misinterpreting something? What do you think she should have done instead Bigs?

I pretty sure big would have like something else besides a pat on the arm but
I think it would have been rude if he had asked for something else in front of her husband.

I don't know, it was the way she was rubbing my back. It wasn't just once or twice, she kept her hand on my back. I can see a hug or something, there was just something about it that made it feel like she was trying to be more than friendly.

She has never been that friendly in the past, a quick hug or something along those lines. I just got the feeling that she was trying to see if she could make him jealous.

I'm kind of lucky - I'm on really good terms with most of my ex-'s. One of them even named one of her kids after me.

They are scattered all over the world at this point, so I don't ever bump into them on the street - but if I did it would be so great to see them again.

I can't really even envision getting jealous over seeing them with someone else or their seeing me with my current girlfriend. I'd put my arms around them and probably hold on near forever.

My exact tactic as well. What makes it very amusing is that is usually accomplished without trying.

For a youth obsessed cheapskate, when he sees me with someone younger than he, richer than he and more popular than he - he just can't stand it. I have seen him flee the resturant/bar/theater on quite a few occassions because he couldn't get his emotions under control.
