Just saw it.

Okay, let me sum up the whole movie and save you the $10:

Jesus gets his ass KICKED for 2 hours.

There was no message, no religious passages, no real storyline. You have to go read the bible yourself to understand why all that was happening. This was just the "ass-kicking" part of Jesus's life that was shown.

There wasn't even any acting on Jesus's part. Just stare at the screen, while getting whipped.

Definately no Ghandhi that's for sure.

Oh well. Only thing i guess the movie says is that the Jews back then were real pricks. I guess karma caught up a few centuries later.

I was so expecting a major thought-provoking, educational saga. Especially for us not so familiar with the bible and jesus's life. Not in this movie. Lots of crying, screaming and whipping for 2 hours.

i don't get the whole flap about this movie. i'm skipping it. i need to see someone get whipped and beat up for two hours? oh i forgot, "it will change my life!" i'd rather watch tv.

The only reason the movie works for many people is because they have read the Bible or at least know most of the back story. The movie (by itself) is really lacking. If an African tribesman who had never been exposed to Christianity was shown the movie he would not get the "passion" of it and would probably hate the movie.

After seeing that, it kinda makes you want to go read it so you CAN understand, huh ?

And for those of us that thought we understood, it makes us realize we didn't have a clue as to what really happened...
