Part time realtor?

I have my MCSE but with 5 years exp I am a systems engineer currently and am in the process of building my real estate business. Sys eng is feeding me and paying the bills but I hope that will change in the next year. It takes time and hard fuckin work if you wanna make money at it. It isn;t really something you can do part time because of the amount of money you spend on licensing, marketing, continuing education, office rent or whatever the broker makes you pay.

My CCNA certification expires on Monday....I think I'll get drunk this weekend to celebrate.

I met a Broker on the Texas Broker-Lawyer Committee (6 Brokers & 6 Lawyers) that produces all the promulgated forms Texas Realtors use, has his own Keller Williams office with about 250 employees too.

He said they have been saying the market is saturated with realtors since 1980, and that 80% of the money goes to 15% of the people in this business, it did back then and it still does today. Tough business to go into part-time - especially with no connections.
