everyone i know loves it.

i can't vibe with the whole aura of it. don't know..

it's very dry humor obviously, which i like but for whatever reaosn i can't get into.

the one episode i really sat down and watch though was pretty funny
(where michael went on this little spiritual nature retreat out in the woods lol)

Everyone seems to love the show. I watched it once to see what it was all about and I wasn't impressed. Don't think I laughed once.

I watched a couple episodes on an airplane sometime later and got a couple laughs.

I watched two more episodes at home after that which were just ok.

All in all, not a show that keeps me coming back. I gave it several chances too. Disappointing.

It's weird, cause the few people I know who have similar senses of humor to me all love the show. I watched some episodes on a plane as well. I tried to like it. But it was just boring.
 
I always thought that chick was hot......I get into girls that aren't all caked with makeup. Now where was that pic taken? It's not from the office is it?




ps. the office sucks. Worst comedic writing ever. NBC needs to hire back Larry David and have him write the show.....than it'll be funny.
 
I'm mostly drawn to her because of her character on the show. That whole mythological "respectable woman" thing.

I love it. (only show I watched on network tv in years)

I like it because it has a very subtle dry humor. It took most of my friends a few episodes to start to get it.

However, because the humor was so subtle it's ratings sucked the first season or so. So, they amped up the humor so it is not so subtle. (michael doing more obvious stupid things, show obvious insecurty, etc.)

I liked it better when it was more subtle. But, it is still good.

Sheep?

It started out with low ratings, and they almost cancelled it. The network kept it because it had a cult following and critical acclaim. They compared it to Seinfeld how most sheep didn't start watching until the third season. (not saying it's as good as Seinfeld)

The only reason more people are watching it now is because they made the comedy more obvious for the dumb sheep.

Took me a few episodes to get used to them looking into the camera randomly and the lack of that machine generated laugh sitcoms usually use.

They have the best writing.

A topical example was Valentines Day a year or so ago.

A second (unmentioned) story line to the episode was how the women reacted when others got flowers, when they didn't get flowers, when someone got more flowers than they did, when someone less or no flowers.

It was so true. But, because it wasn't over the top most people are too stupid to notice it.

I was just saying it is not a Big show every Mark started watching like American Idol.

I hate this show also. I watched 15 minutes of it one time and could not take anymore. I expected to laugh my ass off like the movie The Office, but it was boring.

yeah, but will and grace at least had a queeny gay man and an old bronx "coffe klatch" jewess to laugh at.

Carell is totally underutilized in that show.
