Since Pinto mentioned William Bouguereau, here is "The Birth of Venus" and "La Vague"

This one is hanging on my wall, it's a set of four canvases. Had to take it at a bit of a weird angle that's why it looks a little trapezoidal.

Tim Vigil's stuff from Faust. DEFINITELY not work safe. I have a large set of 6 I got at the last Chicago Comicon. My parents never did like them framed on my walls, lol.

I'm a big fan of Jeff Smith, too.

I'm not too knowledgeble in old paintings and stuff, so I figured I'd input some different stuff than the regular well-known guys.

How do you insert thumbnails?

Lucien Freud. Yes, he is related to Sigmund.
His paintings are disturbingly realistic. But they are painted loosely, and with alot of heavy paint.

He painted his daughter naked, I think it's that last one, but I can't remember.

If you find Lucien Freud disgusting, you may like these a little more.

the Pre-Raphaelites

The group's intention was to reform art by rejecting what they considered to be the mechanistic approach adopted by the Mannerist artists who followed Raphael and Michelangelo. They believed that the Classical poses and elegant compositions of Raphael in particular had been a corrupting influence on academic teaching of art. Hence the name "Pre-Raphaelite".

Am I the only one who actually post paintings that I own? Let's see what some of you have at home.
