Ozzfest In Chicago!

Just got back, not a whole lot to be really excited for. The weather called for rain, but it only got cloudy and sprinkled for about 10 min. Otherwise it was almost unbearably hot at the tweeter center. The only band on the 2nd stage that I wanted to see was Killswitch Engage, they played at 11:30, we didnt get there til one. Horseshit. All the other bands sucked. A big thanks goes out to the WONDERFUL people of Jagermeister for the tickets and all the love! On to the main stage. Whoever the Datsuns are, they suck worse than anything Ive ever heard. Must be someone kissing Ozzys kids ass for playing time on his "label" Chevelle....eh. Marilyn Manson was next, pretty good, 2 almost copletey naked chicks dancing on stage the whole time, I liked his show. Up third was Chicagos hometown band Disturbed...who demolished everyone. They rocked, plain and simple.....everyone was on their feet, not a slow spot throughout the set. I need to see these guys somewhere like the Aragon, where you can really get vicious and wild with them playing. I know theyre supposed to be there soon, so if anyone has tickets, email, pm me, anything, just let me know how much you want for them! Korn was next...Korn always puts on a good show, and they would be second to Disturbed all night...a distant second.
After that we left. None of us were big Ozzy fans, plus the sun wore me out. Not phenominal, but Disturbed and Korn were worth the trip alone! Next up, Saturday the 26th for the Summer Sanitarium tour. Deftones said they would embarrass the headliners all summer, I cant wait to see Metallica humiliate them.

Be prepared for them to eat their words because the def tones were by far the worse sounding band at the concert. I just saw them in Columbus. Limp Bizkit & Linkin Park were awesome. Damn the lead singer for Linkin Park can scream! They sounded just like they do on their CD, I was really impressed. What ever happened to stage shows though? Nobody does anything besides stand around & play & some minimal pyro from time to time. Bring back the days of acts like Kiss, Iron Maiden, Gwar & Alice Cooper!

I saw Korn and Disturbed in concert together. You're right, Disturbed puts on a better show than Korn.

The Summer Sanitarium show should kick ass! Be sure to give us the skinny on that!

Sanitarium? Deftones sounded like shit. BAD sound problems. Metallica fucking rocked the place. Limp put on a better show than I had expected. LP put on the same crappy show they always do. Nothing interesting at all. Mudvayne also had sound problems ...

Ive never seen Linkin Park, everyone tells me they do a good job. Im not a Limp fan anymore, Fred Durst becomes more of a dork everytime he gets in front of a camera. Ive only seen Metallica once before and that was with Kid Rock and Sevendust at the Allstate Arena...and that show was awesome. Now all I need to see is Rob Zombie and ill be happy. Oh, if any of you get a chance to see Soil live, do it, theyre great too.

Zombie puts on a good show. Soil is an excellent band. Linkin Park does a decent job live, but it's just not anything to get too excited about. Chester can scream a little louder. That's basically it. The rest of the hour is an exact duplicate of both records. (I'm a little biased. I dislike the band. )

The thing about Limp. I'm not sure about other shows, but they took like 45 minutes in between every song. It got annoying.
