Overtraining?

raiderron08

My current cycle is
500 mg test ew
200 mg deca ew
40 mg dbol ed - just came off last week, 5 weeks total

Well I'm into my sixth week and I'm up 12 pounds with very little water retention, my strenth is through the rough.

I'm training six days a week and my body is just starting to get really sore this last week or so. The weight I'm pushing is so much right now. I feel like I can lift a car.

I'm wondering do you guy's think I'm overtraing and need to rest a couple days or just fight through. I'd hate to waist any of my sauce by not working out, but damn I'm really sore.

Hmm... you are taking some Strong Stuff... I prefer to keep my Cycle training session to 4 times a week, but then again I go for quality muscle.

In your six week... Are you planning a 12 week cycle? Tell us more about your cycle.. is it Up/Down Pyramid? Alternate Blitz, etc. ?

What about your diet? How much Protein, Carbs, Fat and Calories are you taking?

Let us know!

six days seems like alot, now certain people are different but still rest is good..i know what your asying though when Im in mid cycle all I want to do is work out and it'slike if i dont I almost imagine my self getting smaller..but thats not true because your muscles are going to grow when your resting. I'd suggest to you that you atleast try the 5 days on 2 days off split get a little break and let them muscles grow

My diet is pretty much in check. I cheat a little about twice a week. 2g protein per pound, brown rice to keep the carbs down. 5000 calories a day, low fat low sodium all the normal stuff. I'm trying to gain quility not quantity.

My cycle is 10 weeks at 250 mg test e twice a week, deca 100 mg twice a week and I was taking dbol 40 mg ed, I'm done with DBOL now. The deca is more for the joint pain then anything else.

I've always trained like this but I'm thinking it might be the heavy weight. I used to doing medium weight with high reps, but I'm trying for size now with heavy weight to failure.

to me 6 days per wk is too much training even if on gear.

K to whoever can name the person(s) that said this. (and no, it wasn't me)

As long as your strength is continuing to increase I would imagine that you're probably OK.

Make sure you're getting enough protien, fat, water and rest/sleep.

My name is BC and I'm an overtrainer. I realize that I am powerless over my overtraining so I am a member of overtrainers anonymous.

Seriously, I always get 8+ hrs of sleep a night, and rarely work more than 25 hrs a week. I eat 300 grams of protien daily and I don't have much stress in my life-which I feel allows me to train 6 days/wk no prob as long as I'm using a decent amount of gear. Or am I just in denial???

How many guys actually have a lifestyle like this? Not too many-so for most 6 days would be a bit much.

depends on your age, bro.

I trained 6 days / week when I was a yoot, frequently 2x daily (morning Army Physical Training, afternoon weight workouts)

6 days is generally a bit too much. Also depends alot on your volume.

and almost anyone with a clue will tell you that loading parameters (such as volume and %1RP) need to be varied.

Check the training forum and check the 5x5 sticky. Good stuff. Even if you don't do it, it can give you an idea that making adjustments to your loading parameters is a necessity for continued growth and adequate recovery.

regardless, don't lift heavy 6 days per week for 12 weeks. You're asking for trouble.

If you're a young guy who does nothing all day but watch TV, eat, sleep and jerk off when you're not training, then 6 days/weekly is probably fine.

If you have a real life that involves responsibility and normal-person type stress, it'll get to you.

and the heavy weights will get to your joints. If you're asking "am I lifting too hard" while you're juiced up, I'm betting you probably are.

For me, however, overtraining is easy to tap. The day I lose my appetite and think "damn, I just had a hard workout, but I'm not that hungry", is the day that I pull back, because I'm obviously overdoing it.

Some people sleep a lot and don't feel "rested", others can't get much sleep at all, aside from tren insomnia (different matter entirely, I'm told)

Soreness might be an indicator that you've tapped your recovery, or it might be an indicator that you are getting better at your training.

No one will know this better than you. Just pay attention to your body. Any other signs/symptoms other than soreness? You sure it's muscle soreness and not joint soreness?

I stated something similar before... but not the "failure of the will." :)

But I do not claim to have created that quote, I read it from somewhere... can't place it either.

Overtraining?... listen to your body bro, if it needs a day off take it. Your CNS is Vital... make sure not to tax it too much or you'll be in pain, not "soreness" paaaain :) mmmk. Get some sleep, eat some beef, drink h20 and train your ass off!

I know what you mean bro, I used to think the same way. But sometime you need to switch things up to get your body to grow. An HST routine you can do 2xED with 2 days off if you recover well, aka eat and sleep as much as you can. Too many outside variable to take into consideration... but training alot can be very beneficial (as long as you eat while your there, to make sure not to miss a meal :)) .

quick example... then I have to get to my sleeping.

A soccer player with calves this big: {_____________________________} , well HUGE.

A machanic with forearms just as large from torquing wrenches for a living.... the body adapts is my point and grows even if it's not the individuals goal.

I'm not reading eone's posts on this, but 6 days is quite excessive....Keep in mind that you are going to grow from caloric intake, not only gym time.
I experienced something similar a few months ago, skipped a chest workout for the week, came back a week later, and was working with 25lbs. more on incline's, it blew me away, but I could tell I was overtraining also..
