pro athletes like at the NFL level for example don't even do padded practices all season.. they have bye weeks, they rest their players during the week
so don't buy into the myth that genetically gifted are able to pound their body into the dirt
Genetics are a huge facotor in any sport. Especially bodybuilding. It's not about pounding the body its about training smart. Without name dropping I worked with one top pro who would train in the morning, eat and sleep all day and train again in the evening. He progressed on a weekly basis and never suffered any major injuries. At 280 he still had abs, no doubt genetics played a BIG role in his success.
