I have never used this exercise much in the past. I will be doing a new arm rouitne of a giant set of close grip bench, followed by skull crushers and then followed by one more exercise. The cables at my gym are upstairs and the free-weights are downstairs, so this creates a problem which is why I'm thinking of doing OHDEs. I can do dips, but I think it involves chest too much. Any comments?

Do dips upright. But, overhead extensions are good. They build the inside part. Not as good as dips. Nothing are IMO.

As some others posted......dips would be great just keep the elbows close to the body and NOT flared out to your sides. Your elbows should be pointing in the direction behind you as opposed to pointing outwards and keeping the torso straight up as opposed to leaning slightly forward. Also..... IMHO.....I think you "may" have a problem if you do the dips last in your giant or triple set. Your tri`s would be way fatigued after two back to back, no rest sets of close grip benches and skull crushers. May wanna do the dips first. Experimentation on your part would be the best bet.
