OTC Hairloss Prevention/Regrowth

Goldprospector

New member
Has anyone tried the OTC products like Avacor or Prolific while on a cycle?
They claim to block DHT and clean folicle's of DHT and regrow hair?

Although they claim that it is for the typical MBP, and not for receeding hairlines (like mine).

Just wondering if it would be worth a shot.

Haven't tried either.

Prolific - minoxidil + dht blocker.
You can get finasteride (5arII blocker) from generis-online.
You can get minoxidil on ebay.

Avacor - looks like the marketing department has a lot of influence here. Just look at the price. I would try it if it were free. Their "abstract" isn't really an abstract. Marketing hype.

Get folligen. I'm getting a lot of little hairs from it. If you've used minoxidil, you're probably familiar with those wispy vellus hairs that it can produce. Well, folligen turns those into fully pigmented hairs.

My wife has been using folligen on her eyelashes and they're visibly thicker now.

Folligen.com - ugly website, but at least you know it's not all marketing hype.

Thanx a lot dude, i really needed to hear this info, i checked out that site, but what kind of folligen should i use, spray, cream, lotion, i never used it before.

And do you know a thing or two about that polysorbate 80 shampoo, what is it and does it work...............:D

The problem I have with a lot of these so called "DHT Blockers" is that when I phone or email the company to provide me with clinical trials or studies to show their effectivness......they can't.

What an amazing conincidence.

lenas..Im curious too...what are u using for? just general thining?

Moose, i am using it cause i lost lotsa hair from my first cycle, MBP doesnt run in my family and i didnt take hairloss side effect too seriously. But after i finished cycle it started falling out even more, and now i am trying to stop it, using finasteride, spiro lotion, minoxidil 5% with AA5%, and nizoral2%

But i didnt lose anything on the crown just frontal, and im too young 24 years old. I dont want to lose anymore, and want my thick hair back. If possible anyhow.

So i am doing research on folligen, and polysorbate shampoo 80
