Sorry to post this here but I need an answer to this. I have tried translation but I can't get a straight answer. I was at dinner tonight and a family member has a new tattoo and I am really afraid it says something along the lines of white power and if this is the case this family member (married in) will not be welcome in our family anymore. To make things worse my cousin is marrying the most beautiful exotic indian girl and she is having trouble telling her family because my cousin is white. Tonight she was being hospital and asked this family member what his tattoo said and he wouldn't answer. Anyways please help if anyone knows what this means. I write it down but I might be a little off on the spelling. Also I am not sure if the first word is "knows" or "white"

hey bro, in German that means "KNOW ACHIEVEMENT". according to online translation. Either way, i doubt hes for "white power" if he's marrying an indian girl. Where i'm from, theres tons of those jackasses, and anyone not white is put in that category. Even us hawaiians. lol later bro,

"weiss" can mean either the color white or the adjective "know"
i know ... ich weiss
the car is white ... das auto ist weiss

"leistung" can be a personal achievement or an attribute of power like a motor has an output of 100 horsepower than he has a "leistung" of 100 ... or "this medal was my achievment" ... meine "leistung"

"weiss leistung" is not gramatically correct; just by reading those 2 words it means nothing to me. since "weiss" ist not only the color but also the attribute "know" it could mean "i know what i have achieved" or "i know what i am capable of". i doubt it and i also think that it means "white power".

what could have happend that someone looked into a german thesaurus to look for another expression of "white power"; a good translation would be "weisse macht" or "weisse kraft" or something like that but for anybody not fluent in German its not clear that he as to append an "e" if he wants to make white an adjective, in english there is no difference. and "leistung" ist usually used in technical settings; for the expression of dominance there are much better words.

does he even know what it means? there have been some cases where one got a tattoo from a chinese (or japanese?) guy and while he wanted it to say "beautiful" or "happy" it really meant "dork" or "jackass" ... quite funny if you are not the one who must carry this around for the rest of your life.
