Yes, at first his prosthetics were seen as an unfair advantage, and then they let him in.

Just before the Olympics, they said he couldn't compete as there were not the same safety precautions and his blades were a danger to the other runners.

He is one of the fastest men in the world, and he just won his second gold medal in the Olympics.
