Orals after liver surgery?

Don't everyone fly off the handle on this one right away... it's an honest question I'm just curious about. Some of you may recall I had liver cancer last year at the ripe old age of 28. Lost 3/4 of my liver. However, as of now, my liver has regained normal size and normal function. Dr. says I can drink, take tylenol, other hepatoxic meds JUST like I'd never had liver problems, b/c as far as he can tell, my liver looks like there was never anything wrong. I always had liver enzymes checked while using orals and they never even went above normal. Also, the suspicious mass removed from my liver was never identified... the dr.'s couldn't tell what kind of cancer, if any, it really was. So, my question is... I LOVE orals. Dbol, winny, tbol especially. Since my Dr. says I can get drunk if I want, take tylenol for weeks, take accutane or other hepatoxic meds if I want... what do you think the odds would be of my safely being able to take low-dose orals? Now, I have NOT touched orals of any kind of even much alcohol since the surgery, but apparently I have full function and will never notice the difference. I'm not actually considering any orals at this point, I can achieve my gains through injectables, albeit a bit more slowly. Just wondering what you guys would do in my place? Now let the debate begin :D

Bump... remember this is mostly just curiousity here, NOT seriously considering throwing abombs at my freshly regenerated liver :)

I would be concerned as of why i had that mass on my liver to begin with. was your oral use high before it was found? I wouldn't touch orals or anything hepatoxic again if I went through what you went through. You may not be so lucky next time.

Can you take orals?? The answer is most likely, yes. As your doctor stated that your liver is normal again.

Would I take orals???? Hell no.

No, I hadn't used in years before the lump was found, and 3 separate MD's and Oncologists confirmed that my previous steroid usage could not have caused the mass. However... you're right, I'm still scared to death of orals, despite their overall effectiveness for me both in cost and in gains. I doubt I'll ever touch them again... but then again, when I was IN the hospital, right after having 3/4 of my liver cut out, you know what the first non-opiate painkiller they game me was? Yep... Tylenol lol. Obviously they weren't too concerned about it being hepatoxic either, said I could take up to 2g's a day for a month while healing. Just wondering what people's opinions were! THanks for your response bro!

Its risky but if your doc says you can take tylenol and drink I would try orals.

If it was me I would first run a mild cycle and bloodtest to check for liver levels. Something like hdrol 50/75/75/75 would get you decent gains but also help you gauge how your liver and body reacts.

I might consider it since I have to get blood drawn every 3 months before my CT scans to check for regrowth. Every doc I've talked to says my case was a freak occurence that none of them have been able to explain, but ya know, that still doens't help me not be scared as shit lol. Thanks for the opinions bros!

The liver is the only organ in the body that can reguvenate itself, so being said that ,i will ask how long ,ago did this occur? I would also start giving it some relief right now also ,as lots of protein and other substances from foods have to be processed by the liver,so start up some liver cleansers, cranberry juice & lots of water along with ALA.I wouldn't touch anything harsh for at least a year ,even at a low dosage.

Already doing the liver cleansers, water, etc. Radar, and the surgery was just over a year ago. End of October 2009. CT in June showed almost complete regrowth already and 100% original function regained, with my normal low ALT and AST values again. So, apparently my liver is 100% again and under as little stress as ever it was. I will continue to wait till I at least get my next CT scan and bloodwork done next month before I even THINK of trying anything... probably won't even touch anything till late next year, if ever. Damn but having that dbol and winny staring at me is just hard lol :)
