Opening a GNC Franchise

What do you all think about opening up a GNC Franchise? I'm 20 years old, full of motivation and drive to accomplish anything, especially when it involves money to be made. I've looked up the prices of opening a GNC and it would be around 165,000-220,000. Let me know what you all think about it and what your tips and Ideas are on it, for instance what I can bring in each year and so fourth. Also really quick I know that location would be crucial, as for with any business of course.

Possibly, im not 100% sure. From what i know though is that there doing good. Location is crucial though.

Well if you can secure a good location, I'm sure it could do good. But without a good location, I would avoid it.

Absolutely, the thing I've noticed about GNC stores is that if you have it in a neighborhood such area it doesn't attract to too many customers, well at least I think that. If you can secure around a nice highly populated area then your bound to do good in business. Finding high populated areas these days isn't to hard to do either lol, they build new developments every 3 months just about lol.

Thats true as well. My father actually told me the same thing. The problem with something like that would be where to begin with your own supplements, lol? I mean I'm an extremely business smart guy just with starting up tons of supps. yourself would be really hard I would think. What would you suggest in that category?

I would worry about being a retailler first and a product line later. Contact distributers and sell already trusted brands. As you grow, then worry about making your own brand grow.

i agree, i dont think you understand how much gnc holds you back. they dictate which products are located throughout the store and where they are located. very controlling.

Terrible company to franchise with from what ive heard.
