Open Range...........

Starring and directed by Kevin Costner. Magnificent scenery and terrific cinematography. The gun battle was a classic and the movie has a genuiness to it. The acting was pretty good and the story succeeded in drawing you in as it seemed authentic.

On the downside, the romance between Costner and Anette Benning actually made me leave early. Gibson is much better at romance scenes if you catch my drift. The youthful character of Buttons was neither likable nor interesting and added almost nothing. The romance also made the ending drag on too long though I did leave early as my stomach was turning over it.

The scenery was breathtaking but the movie had a flawed feeling to much of it and I would call it a fairly average movie.......a C+. it is no Dances with Wolves.

I was a big fan of DWW and was hoping this movie would revive Costner's career.

Good review bro.

Now I won't see the movie. You just saved me 12$.

Much as I like Costner, it is his looks that made his career.

Dances with Wolves was great though........wonder why he has not directed more? I would say that Open Range was well directed but the story was not all that interesting.

I got my moneys worth....they could have skipped the romance and just hopped in the sack.
