Not that I'm seen many, but this has to be one of the most relentless fighters I've ever seen. Maybe someone can post some info on him.

Makes me want to drop TKD and go knock on my local muay thai school's door.

Right click and "save as"

Ramon Dekkers

Good point, but some MA's allow you to capitalize on that moreso than others do.

I have 3 Ramon Dekker high light films...

lets see, something like 200 fights, lost less than %10 of the time, knocked out his opponents more than %50 of the time. He was only knocked out once his whole career, he actually got up and missed the 10 count by just a couple of seconds.

8x world champion holding championship belts in ALL of the major federations...

Here is a good bit of info about him:

He was the first foreing fighter to EVER be named "fighter of the year" in Thailand...

He is retired now, (36yrl) he is at an age where he could still fight, but he burned himself out by fighting too many fights in too little time. he will not be competing again.

Awesome fighter, a true champion. A good representative of the sport and spirit of Muay Thai.

Man that dude has a LETHAL front thrust kick. Seems like I hardly ever see it used, but as his highlights show there is no reason not to use it.

I know---he seems to do things well (Very well, I might add)not normally seen in MT matches.

From asking around, one guy said, quote "He made the Thai's change the way they fight". That says enough for me.

And, like BRR said, "Fighter of the Year", being a caucasian, says it all.

Front kick, speed of his hands, spinning hook kick---Dekkers makes it all look easy. And lethal.

I suppose that all depends on how you look at it. If you mean you can use more body parts for attacking (elbows, knees, back fist, etc.) I suppose I can agree. However I kind of look at it like a blind persons ability to sense or hear things. Because he/she can't see or use all their senses, certain ones become more accute. A TKD fighter can not strike to the face or head w/the hands and cannot use knees or elbows to attack so they must rely on a hightened ability to attack and defend w/their kicks.

Retired at 36? Wow...can that really happen, BRR? Well, obviously is can but what do you mean "burnt out"?

Too many injuries. Had surgery on his ankle a few times...

and Yes, he changed the way the Thais fought... they started using more wester boxing hand techniques...

I've read rumors that Ramon is coming out of retirement.
