But we are dying... that is the natural consequence of birth so why not live like that now?
If you had knowledge of the future don't you think that if you altered circumstances it would affect other circumstances that would have brought about good, but wouldn't due to your interference?
Think of Jimmy Stewart movie, "It's a wonderful life".
I see what you are saying but to have a power like that would seem to be too much for a body to bear. You would know about certain circumstances yet you would have very little power to change them. If you did, you might have upset a balance in a negative way in the grand scheme of things. How would you live with THAT knowledge?
I don't WANT to know what is going to happen 5 minutes from now, five days from now or 5 years from now. I just want to strength and ability to handle it, regardless of what it is.
I'll give you an example: If I had known in my early 20's that my children would be made to suffer so horribly and my entire family would be adversely affected by my ex I may not have done all I did to overcome the infertility I experienced for 13 months. None of my children would have ever been born. I have NO IDEA how many people my children have or will affect in a good way. Maybe one will grow up to give birth to someone that will change the world? Maybe one will rob a liquor store and murder somebody else's mother but there will be community outrage because it may be brought up what the system did to my kid and MAYBE there will be some sort of program implemented that will change the way the family courts handle such situations and who knows how many other families will be spared the suffering that mine and countless others have and are going through?
Maybe I am wrong and none of us has or will ever affect another human being... doubtfull though.
