Ok i must disagree with all of the ideas here.
This information is based on many conversations with people in the know how, includin Scott Able, Chris Aceto, Chad Nicols and quite a few Pros...the carb depletion till wednesday is fine, when you start carbing up drink as much water as you can, if you spill over slightly it's anot a big deal you will easily get rid of all that water with diuretic use. Do not cut the water out untill 18 hours out from pre-judging, drink as much as you can and i guarantee you will get rid of at least 2 liters of water the minute you stop drinking it. The traditional carb sources are fine untill about 14 hours out from the show. At this point you should fat load as it is a much more efficient tool at filling you out then carbs. The best type of fats for this purpose are long chain fatty acids and simple sugars. So what i do before the shows, around 8:00pm on Friday before the show (i am assuming the prejudging starts around 11:00-12:00am) i will go to Pizza Hut, McDonalds, Dairy Queen etc and eat as much as i can and everything i can. Now that my friend is called shitloading, you eat all the shit you shouldn't and it works for you, you do not have to trust me on this but try it out if you like it WORKS BIG TIME. The truth of the matter is that most people that compete look their best the day after their show, after they have eaten all the shitty food. Well good luck at your show Bro...XXL
