one week out, carbs and water

Hey guy's, im one week out from my first show, ive been on the keto diet for the last month, so no carbs, and at this stage i don't believe im holding onto much water, but my question is, i was planning on starting my carb up wed night (show is on sat), and also start my water depletion at the same time, so once i start the carbs, will this cause me to hold water?

I actaully do sodium depletion od sunday before, than carb depletion on monday before than start water depletion slowly on wednesday drinking 2 quarts than start going down on thursday to 1 quart than friday what i pee out i drink back in water. slowly adding the carbs back will fill ya out nicely just don't over do it and become flat. slow is the word on carb loading especially if you've enver done it. keep it simple with sweet potato or brown rice and on friday I personally eat a big ass steak after i weigh in to also help fill out.

flexed is correct....do not cut out the water too early. this will just make you look flat and make you feel like shit the day of the show. i did this and almost passed out. just slowly taper down until the friday morning...then cut it out is my opinion. when you are carbing up make sure you watch what you eat. stay with baked pototes or dry oatmeal. try not to eat anything with too much water in it.
 
Ok i must disagree with all of the ideas here.
This information is based on many conversations with people in the know how, includin Scott Able, Chris Aceto, Chad Nicols and quite a few Pros...the carb depletion till wednesday is fine, when you start carbing up drink as much water as you can, if you spill over slightly it's anot a big deal you will easily get rid of all that water with diuretic use. Do not cut the water out untill 18 hours out from pre-judging, drink as much as you can and i guarantee you will get rid of at least 2 liters of water the minute you stop drinking it. The traditional carb sources are fine untill about 14 hours out from the show. At this point you should fat load as it is a much more efficient tool at filling you out then carbs. The best type of fats for this purpose are long chain fatty acids and simple sugars. So what i do before the shows, around 8:00pm on Friday before the show (i am assuming the prejudging starts around 11:00-12:00am) i will go to Pizza Hut, McDonalds, Dairy Queen etc and eat as much as i can and everything i can. Now that my friend is called shitloading, you eat all the shit you shouldn't and it works for you, you do not have to trust me on this but try it out if you like it WORKS BIG TIME. The truth of the matter is that most people that compete look their best the day after their show, after they have eaten all the shitty food. Well good luck at your show Bro...XXL

I agree with the water intake. I actually never cut it out. you have to have water to load carbs. 1 gram of carbs holds 4grams of water. I agree with the diuretic use. But you have to be loaded with carbs before you start them. any questions email me.

i totally agree with mike xxl just done 3 shows with sucess ( fat load the night before everything peanuts too icecream, i also munched everything sat and never smooth over one bit, just got harder the week after for my next show and same again for my 3rd
