One thing I like about working in IT....

Is that when the higher ups email me regarding questions on why things are taking x amount of time , etc. etc. ...I can just respond with a ton of technical jargon. Their response is always "oh ok, no problem just keep me updated" ...little do they know we do everything last minute.

your place is kind of laid back then - where I'm at they demand it right away - even with the explanation of what it will affect and testing / etc..... They dont want to hear sh*t - they want it taken care of and completed. Then a month later or more they will change their minds about it and want something else.

I can't wait to start my new job (doing IT stuff). I get to wear jeans everyday and shoot the shit with the fellas. I downloaded my first MCTS course. I'm beyond excited.

IT ugh.

Most people in IT spend their entire day TRYING TO AVOID work. The same work they desired to do when they started their career.

IT is better left to the foreigners. They can work 12 hours day, they don't surf, they do it happilly and love computers.

that is true... I work about 2-3 hours out of a nine hour day. Whenever someone brings me a new project they always start off with "i know you're busy but..." so i let is sit for 3 days then work on it here and there. been doing that for about 3 years. Shit gets done so no one even notices.
