One fatal flaw with Fight Club (IT subject)

Delinquent

Aside from the fact that it was the biggest waste of 3 hours, I'll let some of you non-IT types know why the entire premise of blowing up those building is pointless. I just thought about it the other night for some reason.

Corporations that large do not keep all their records in one particular location. They will backup the data then make duplicates of the tapes to keep them offsite incase something like this happens.

Another way, would be if the servers are set up in a cluster. Once one node(server) crashes, another node somewhere will startup and pick up where the primary node left off.

So not only was this movie stupid as hell, then entire plot would be absolutely pointless.

not pointless......you just missed the point

lol

ok so what's point?

Edit: it's been a few years since I have seen it so what I am focusing on is the destruction of corporatism(is that a word?)

The point is that it's a movie NumbNads

so what. If it was a scifi type movie, I wouldn't take it so literally but this type of movie just seems that they were trying to make a point or represent a set of views?

Fight club was awesome!

Watch it again and again and you pick up on new things that make you ponder and really think about.
