One Day in September

An excellent film which has come to my attention is One Day in September. And I give it my absolute highest recommendation, especially at this point in time.

The film shows, in great detail, the events surrounding the 1972 Munich Olympics, where 'Palestinian' terrorists took Israeli Olympics athletes hostage.

We see the absolute lack of security which allowed several terrorists to gain access to the Olympic village with automatic weapons and gain access to the Israeli team.
We also see that the Germans were completely unprepared for any violent crime of this sort, as well as their refusal to allow the Israeli government to get involved.
I was astounded at the level of German ineptitude and, it can be argues, complicity in this horrible event.
Watch sniper teams with no radio contact! Watch German police shoot each other instead of the terrorists! Watch the Germans try to sneak up on the terrorists while the terrorists watch them on television!

And see the Israeli bodies riddled with bullets after the astounding failure of teh German 'rescue' efforts. Then watch the Germans release the terrorists.

One of the 'Palestinian' "Freedom Fighters" is interviewed and thirty years later, he says he'd do it all again.

i do remember the film was said to be biased, having never seen it i cant comment.

the germans learnt their lessons from that incident though

Wow, al. That's pretty amazing. What are her feelings about it?

The IOC didn't even want to shut the game down, and the Germans said that everyone would forget about it in a few weeks.

AMEN. What a short memory we have. We all seem to act as though Muslim terrorism is new, yet this took place almost 30 years ago.
