Again some little f*ck at the gym is trying to tell ME how to work out. This guy is 5'10" and weighs 145!!!!!! You shouldn't do it that way. You should do this you should do that. I think that if you're 5'10" and you don't weigh over 225, then you should just shut the fuck up. How's someone that weak going to try and give tips to someone twice their size...don't they know how stupid they look/sound?
 
Cornholio is under 225lbs....and I would follow his diet/weight training advice to a T if I asked for it.
 
what did you get corrected on?

the one thing i see in the gym 24/7 that i want to correct people on is shrugs. i have seen less rotation than in the middle of an F5 tornado with people's shoulders. i just want to kick them in the ass in the middle of their set and scream in a Mr. Miyagi voice "DADADADA. PAINT THE FENCE!!! UUUUUUUP...DOOOOOWWWWWN. UUUUUUUUP....DOOOWWWWWN!!!"

Cornholio has some pretty good ideas.

You got to learn to have fun with people. Start asking them for advice on how to drill their girlfriend in the ass. I find that to be a topic that puts people at ease when they first meet me, don't know me, then start telling me how to lift.

Also...you make yourself look like a meathead ass when you claim that there should be a weight limit on giving advice out. I think if anything, there should be a weight limit on giving roid advice out. Just because someone doesn't juice themselves up to 225 doesn't mean they don't know what they're doing in the weight room. but anyone who cycles constantly and isn't 200 plus is doing something wrong.

Pulldowns are another one. I see more huge guys laying all the way back yanking the weight down, than anything else. They're bigger than me, though, and since it's none of my B.I. business, I keep my mouth shut.

I see this same shit. Don't forget the yelling so the whole gym knows. (even though they aren't doing any kind of weight)
 
there are dudes in my gym that throw their weights down when they are done.
it cracks me up - I'm not even big and I know that if I'm doing flat presses with 100's I can still set them down on the ground without making it shake - yet I've seen guys doing 40's on inclines and grunting and then dropping them down like they just did something amazing.

I bet that was a funny site! You should have continued your exercise, but using the little guy's body instead of dumbbells!

Plus there's only 1 other guy in my gym besides me who squats to parallel. For the most part I would estimate that only 15% of the people in my gym squat at all.

oh shit - there was a guy there the other day, I was in the power rack doing squats and he was over on the Smith machine. he had 3plates on either side and then 2 25s on top of that.
I was like, damn, that's pretty good even though the Smith machine takes a lot off, that is still good for his size. so I stand there and watch him in the mirror and he then proceeds to do 4 or so... knee breaks. I can't say they are squatting - but he definitely broke the plane of total knee lockout, but that was about it.
he then locked it back into place and proceeded to add weight. he did several sets like this.

I have no idea what he was doing, but I hope it was some sort of rehab.
 
I have to drop my weights at the max arc or else they mess up my pig tails!!!
 
lol HS no doubt. along the same lines, and thank god i no longer train in a gym that has them, is when you are lifting in a gym that has iron DBs as opposed to rubber ones, and people have to clank their weights at the top unnecessarily loud. and ontop of that, the "clanking" is really high pitched so you know they're using vagina weights. it's like that clank is some sort of validation that they are hoss and performing feats of greatness, when in fact they're making themselves look like jackasses. if you're going to clank your shit, it better be a deep, hollow clank that could easily be mistaken for the sonic barrier being broken.
 
Buck and Wodin - thank you for the words.

You don't have to be the biggest guy in the gym to know how to train, but it does help if you at least look like you work out.

My theory - the guys who *generally* know the most about training are the more less-genetically gifted ones. Superiors like Havoc, Wodin, and Buck could probably grow by just looking at a weight. Someone like me who weighed 155 at 20 years old has to look at things from a non-traditional approach.

Nowa days when I see someone with ass off the bench I'll ask if it's heavy or light day for the spinal errectors.
 
ssme - a note on the clanking - we have the iron plate type dbs at my gym and if you clank them too hard for too long, it loosens the screw that holds them together, which means it is feasible that the dipshit will get a plate in their face from their actions.
it is a nice thought - but one also must check the tightness of them before using them even if you don't slam them together since other idiots do.
one of them being my lifting partner. the guy wears lifting gloves, walks around with his arms out (ILS - imaginary lat syndrome) and sticks his chest out. addmittedly he has put on a lot of size since he started, but he still is like 175 or so at best and he is my height (6'2"-6'3"ish). he slams the weights around all the time and he lifts shit. although his Bis are fucking likely stronger than my weak ass bis.
he whines about... well, everything, but I was gonna say the deadlifts b/c they are "hard" and also they cut his knees.

I was doing biceps. It was my final set and I was trying to get one extra rep in. I kept perfect form throughout the work out, always do. I only cheat when I want to get one more in. Another thing that pissed me off was when I was trying to leave he saw that I had my protein shakes in my gym bag, "You're taking that stuff??!! Oh my God!! That is so bad for you, don't you know that stuff isn't regulated by the government?" lol GIVE ME A FUCKING BREAK DUDE!!

Look bro, it's not just the weight, this mother fucker constantly talks about working out. "Yeah, I'm gonna start working out next week." Then 2 weeks later I hear him saying the same shit. 225 at 5'10" isn't hard to reach at all w/o juice. I'm only 5'7" 205. I wouldn't be knockin' this guy if he knew what he was talking about. ;)

this is actually one of my pet fears (thene again so is a nuclear holocaust)

considering i take at lest one of these drinks a day, it would suck if it came under less regulation or they were sticking bad stuff in them to 'thin' it out 'cos then id be pretty fucked :D
 
I see people every day roll their shoulders doing shrugs and other stupid things, I just let them go on their way. They will learn either the easy way or the hard way.

As far as someone telling me how to do a lift, it's never happened. I just wear my headphones and zone everything else out.
