Ok i landed this internship for my major and tomorrow is my first day. I spent a hell of a time finding a suit that would fit, either the top was too small or the pants were too large. Anyways, should I Wear a short sleeved shirt or a long sleeve. Its a conservative bank type of place so i was thinking long sleeve since thats considered more professional...Any ideas???

Well if your not planing on taking of your suit jacket you could go with no sleeves. If you are then definitely long sleevs.

long sleeve. But make you leave the top 4 buttons unbuttoned exposing your hairy chest and plethora of gold chains. It wouldn't hurt to shower in some CK1 knock-off cologne. Don't forget your Soul Glow activator. Never know when your Jheri curl could lose its shine.:D

long sleeve is always preferable
if i'm wearing short sleeves around someone else wearing long sleeves i always feel like i'm dressed inferiorly

Always long sleeve. I think white shirts are standard if it's a formal thing (i.e. office interview with lotsa VIP dudes)... otherwise just a nice long sleeved button shirt would do (warning: speaking from experience of only 3 job interviews).

The only people to be seen wearing short sleeve dress shirts are
IBM IT weanies from any late 1970's training video.

Long sleeve Dress shirt, Light color or White with a conservative solid color tie and dress shoes.

No jacket unless that is standard dress.

At my other job, some guys would wear the short sleeve button up shirts with a tie. I know its comfy for you gentlemen, but I'm sorry, you look like you belong as the manager @ Farmer Jack!:eek2:

lol judge...but with your mom...dang!!......see if you can make yourself a promise and wear the same clothes everyday, bet ya can't do it

Yup, if a tie is required don't go in looking like Sipowitz from NYPD Blue. Long sleeves is a must. But, if it is business casual and no tie is required, I would still go with long sleeves until you can get a feel for the "norm" at that particular instituion. It never hurts to be overdressed, but go in a plcae underdressed and you'll feel like shizat.

Another classy move is to walk in on your first day and have your ball sack coming out of your open zipper. If anyone asks what's up tell them that it's a piece of chewing gum that got stuck to your pants. If they continue to enquire, tell them that the piece of chewing gum came from a barber shop floor.

Always wear long sleeves. White shirts are standard, but you can go with a blue as well.

If you are having trouble finding a suit you have couple of options. Suit separates. Some decent companies are now making separates that look pretty good. I think Brooks Brothers has some now. Or you can go with a sportcoat and dress pant combination.

I think considering it is an internship just a shirt and tie should suffice.

Advice from the Nature Boy...recognize.

i nice longsleeve dress shirt with a coordinated tie.
i.e blue shirt, then red tie would be good, or yellow if you're feeling a little risque
