I also remember it as the first PG-13 movie. I remember my older brother would taunt me - "So there's this great movie coming out about a group of kids that fight back when the US gets attacked - oh, but you can't see it - it's PG-13. Only people over 13 can see it." - I thought he was just fucking with me - turns out he was right. Didn't stop me from seeing it though. Great flick.

What gets me about it is how amazingly poor the acting, direction, and cinematography are. It looks like a bad made-for-cable-TV movie. This was really apparent seeing it on the big screen. It looked cheap.
