OMG!!! did you bros see the steroid special on ESPN

I can care less what any television special says about anything. How the fk could ESPN endorse steroids even if they thought it wasn't as dangerous as some believe? The writer of the story would get fired on the spot. ANYTHING done in excess will kill you. Cookies and fkn pie can kill you if you gorge on it and ingest it everyday. What are we gonna do? Ban fkn Oreo's?
Actually, we're pretty close to that point.

Anyway, moderation is the key to everything. Overindulgence and insatiable appetites for sex, food, drugs, alcohol, and even work (workaholics) are addictions and hurt the abuser in some way.
The real question is, How many steroid users have died compared to the total number who ever took them? I would guarantee a fraction.

A little trivia for everyone.
"During 2003, 17,013 people in the U.S. died in alcohol-related motor vehicle crashes, representing 40% of all traffic-related deaths."

Almost half of automobile deaths were caused by alcohol. Steroids is no fkn way near 40% in relation to death. The number is so low I can't even find any govt. documents that have ANY quantitative proof on the steroids and death.
Check this out. LMAO

" Reported drug and alcohol use by high school seniors, 2004"

Used within the last:

Drugs 12 months* 30 days
Alcohol 70.6 % 48.0 %
Marijuana 34.3 19.9
Stimulants 10.0 4.6
Other opiates 9.5 4.3
Tranquilizers 7.3 3.1
Sedatives 6.5 2.9
Hallucinogens 6.2 1.9
Cocaine 5.3 2.3
Inhalants 4.2 1.5
Steroids 2.5 1.6
Heroin 0.9 0.5

Steroids, The big DANGER to kids is close to last place, beat out only by HEROIN. LOL
I bet more ppl get liver disease from alcohol than steroids. It's not even a close comparison.
This has been a Public Service Announcement For Steroids by Me. tyggbye. :p

AAS may be "psychologically" addicting for many but other substances like tabacco and illicit drugs are "physicaly" addicting. It's like comparing apples and oranges. Regardless, the topic of steroid addiction is certainly worth discussing. Especially in light of the health risks posed by those who have trouble using them responsibly.

I guess it's human nature to lean toward excess. That's why I find boards like this so helpful. There are alot of people offering good advice that helps many make healthy choices about AAS use. Gotta love the free flow of information and ideas !

That guy is TOUGH. His gas is unbelieveable. Remember we got Maglio Ordonez and Troy Percival... ;)

So you must be headed to Lakeland i'm guessing

I do sometimes but I usually go to the Braves games at Disneyworld. The park is incredible and you can sit on the lawn in the outfield. Tigers will be there twice. A couple friends from DTW are coming down to thaw out so we'll probably head to TigerTown.

I agree with barry and the fact that the media enjoys beating the dead horse, talking about it does nothing until they start testing. And so what, even if they do test, u have to test positive like 4 times in a season before you can be suspended. The only thing i disagree with Bonds about, is that he is gonna actually try and sit there and tell the media that Steroids dont help him. They might not help Hand/Eye coordination. But for gods sake, he went from hitting 350 foot homers to puttin it out in the BAY.
And what angered me more than ANYTHING, was when he pulled the Race Card, that was some bullshit. Hank Aaron suffered adversity (Death Threats) because he was black, What the hell has bonds faced, million dollar contracts, homerun records. Im not taking anything away from Barry, But at the same time i dont believe there is anyway he breaks any homerun records without that 30 + lbs of offseason muscle mass.....

I just watched that he just B.S'd his way through all that. Sounds like the roids robbed him of his balls..he talks like a sissy. LOL What a loser. Anyways about the whole addiction thing, sorry but thats ignorant to say ,to a certain point. Yes it may be mentally addictive but lets say you picked up weights for the first time ever and in one month you gain 15lbs of pure muscle..well im sure you wouldn't just stop using them, because you would want more, but if you stop, you're not going to have withdrawl effects and stuff associated with addictive substances.
But yeah that whole "race" speech was just dumb, he should be smacked and then saying that steriods won't affect your performance.HAHA what a dipshit.

Did you guys see the bullshit story special on ESPN??? This former heavy weight blames gear for getting blood clogs on his legs, and the doctor told to stop and he said "He just couldnt stop" and both of his leg got amputated?? thats a perfect example of ingnorance now gear is "addicting". I hate the fucking Media!!!!. I'm glad Bonds today bashed the media the told them that Alcohol is legal yet number one Killer and Tobacco is 2nd or 3rd and nobody says a damn thing!!!!. Told them they always making shit up and if some innocent kids die they blame on athletes I totally agree with him, I wish I knew ESPN email and fucking inform those fuckers the truth!! seriously I'm sooo pissed off!!! specially at the former weight that says all because of roids this and that

Well, I think Bonds is a moron, but I do agree that the media is way out of control...In the past week I have heard two radio guest doctors interviewed about steroid use to educate the layman, and boy, there is some messed up information being floated out there.
