even sadder how most people don't even remember. Thinking only germans committed atrocities and forgetting about the worst savages of ww2: the japanese.
c
I had relatives remind me when I bought my first Toyota.
I find many chinese who to this day will never do business with the japanese. chinese don't like japanese much (insert that south park episode!)
WOW.... 105 after that torture! Thats the way America used to be. A wealthy man left his job to fight for his country. Would never see that now a days. RIP
Ummm..Pat Tilman..just sayin...plenty of Americans perform military service because they see it as an obligation.
We got them back by nuking the fuckers.
Yeah too bad the military then fucked him over and lied to his family and country.
Another reaosn why today's military are just tools for the elite and nothing about freedoms anymore.
c
Does any reasonable person think politicians don't lie?
Not Rich Americans....Ummm..Pat Tilman..just sayin...plenty of Americans perform military service because they see it as an obligation.
Not Rich Americans....
We have a Military force over 1 Million. Take the ratio from then to now.
Okay not never. How about almost never?
1% of Congress has Children in the military. 1% !!!!!
My Point is that He is from a Time when more people sacrificed more for their country (As stated in my OP).What is your point? In the Roman Republic prospective senators would tear open their tunic to show their war wounds as a way of proving their love of Rome. We have a representative republic so why don't you vote for the candidate that is willing to send their child to war? If the people won't vote for someone with "skin in the game" then they really don't care about it. I hear all kinds of noise about Afghanistan but why don't you vote for Ron Paul? Barry was a peace candidate in the primary and has only doubled down on the Bush foreign policy. When are you going to realize Dem and Repub are just two wings of the same party?
My Point is that He is from a Time when more people sacrificed more for their country (As stated in my OP).
Voting for someone that has "skin in the Game" doesn't prove anything. They may have skin in the game. But if their policies are shit, its a moot point. You hear all kinds of noise about Afg/Irq. If I dont vote for someone that doesnt sacrifice theirselfs or let their children doesnt mean "I dont care". See, you fail to realize that I HAVE SERIOUS SKIN IN THE GAME and that is the reason it matters to me. It's nice that you have an opinion on the wars, but I wonder if its just an armchair evaluation or from expierence?
Shit, I might vote for Ron Paul! You turned your post into a baseless assumption that I dont know anything about the Dems and Gop... WTF? Nice try, but I see you are full of assumptions.
Not really, you were asserting that people don't serve for a reason greater than whatever...I enlisted at 17 because it was a family tradition and a duty...I can trace military service in my family on my mother's side to a Private Cheney that volunteered to serve in the Revolutionary War.
This is exactly what I said.A wealthy man left his job to fight for his country. Would never see that now a days. RIP
This new generation is the generation of "You owe me ".
STFUBarry is fixing that. There won't be anymoar generations of "entitlement" mentality

Not necessarily. A majority of JO's that didnt go to the academy spend their enitre 1st and/or second commissioning paying off student loans.Correction: rich peeps send their kids to the air farce, coast guard, and officers in the navy. Anyone whose been in the military know where the rich kids are it!
army & marines is where the poor kids go. West Point is where the middle class kinda rich parents kids go.

The Citadel, Naval Academy West Point dont recruit on $. They are Highly based on Grades. granted they do favors for the rich.
There is no basis on what branch of military recruiting station the underprivledged go to. That is on the Skill of the Recruiter. There are poor kids in every branch. Not as much in the Air Force because of the more stringent entry stipulations.
So you are off base with that assumption.
Wont argue that... But will tell you where ever there is a Marine recruiter there is a Navy one. And most recruiting offices have All three.I don't see too many people from south central or the barrio going to west point. You can't ignore the fact that recruiters for army & marines heavily concentrate in low income areas. They're not out in full force in the hamptons or beverly hills. Poeple in my copmany where from some of the poorest areas of the us.

This is exactly what I said.
Now if you read something else off in left field from it, then I cant help ya.
Now a days most people enlist for the college $, to get away from momma and poppa, or because of the economy... This new generation is the generation of "You owe me ".
