Hey I'm new to this site and am looking for advice. About two years ago I tore my left pec. The doc said give it 3-4 months and start hitting it slowly. Well I did that and now it seems every few months I strain it. Should I see another doc or is it to late? Or what is it you guys would do?

Hey Bro,

You need to work on your range of motion as well as seek out a professional who is certified in Sports Massage, ART or Graston to re-evaluate your injury and help break down all the scar tissue that formed during the healing process. Depending on how bad your original injury was and what you did immediately after and throughout the Acute stage to facilitate the healing process will determine how fast you get back to 100%.

Without a proper game plan, you have a 99% chance of reinjuring that peck every time you attempt to come back. You need to break the cycle, get some professional treatment and come back slowly but surely. It's going to be painful, but you have to be able to judge rehab discomfort from ouch!! im reinjuring myself.

After every stretching routine or resistance workout you need to be icing the area down religiously.

There are guys that rip their pecs right off the bone and come back. Keep your head up, yours is a piece of cake.
