Old School Drugs

Today i found some vicodins in my cabinet and the thing im wonderin is if they are still good. they say that they expired on oct of 99...but they are also individualy sealed in little pieces of foil..not to mention on one side of the scored tablet it says vicodin..which i have never seen before. Also it says they are 5mg. are they still good for consumption or should i toss them.

Okay, with that out of the way, tabs do expire. The epiration date is very conservation in most cases. Also, it is not a on/off kind of thing...that is to say one day they are good and the next day they go bad. They lose their potency over time.

With Oct 1999 should still be fairly potent. My question is why do you need them? Are you in pain?

I dont really mind getting ridiculed , i just know that most everyone here seems to be very educated on matters of the like and would be able to help me out. I know their not steroids or in any way steroid related, but like i said i knew someone would know the answer. and no double bicep iam in no pain, nor am i out to get high off of them, i just found them and was curious if they would still be worth holding onto or if i should just throw them away. my mistake if i wasted any of you crazy bastards time , but i did get the answer i was lookin for. thanks

100% WRONG, all medicine has a shelf life, most are still active after there expiration date maybee 6 months or so, you may still get full efficacy out of the drug in question. I am not going to get into Pharm..Kenetics on this one. From that point on, the rate of efficacy drops off over time. Those pills are 4 years old. Throw them away. Plus, Vicodine is a drug for pain managment, taken oraly, they are totaly useless. Childrens Tylenol will be stronger at this point.
