OK now I'm starting to worry...

I've been using an OTC ear wax remover and my ear is now clogged. It was fine before I used it and it's been over an hour. I can't hear from my right ear as well because of the feeling I need to pop it or something.

two things, use luke warm peroxide to dissolve wax BUILDUP. use a couple of drops of baby oil each week for maintenance to keep it clear.

It takes a while for blocked ears to clear. I had blockage when I got a cold during the summer, might've been an ear infection, couldn't really hear much out of one ear. It cleared up in about a week. It's just the fluid that takes time to drain.

I'd see a doc if yours doesn't clear up in a few days though.

Pour some peroxide in there it should dissolve it.

Thanks bros. Stupid question... When you say "dissolve it" Where does it go? Do you literally taker the wax OUT of your ear with something after it dissolves or it just "dissolves"?

The OTC stuff I used was a peroxide but not hydrogen peroxide, speicially for ear wax. I used that and ran hot water in squirts from a bulb into my ear to try and clear it out. Did'nt really work but now I have this pain and blockage and it kept me up most of the night!

I may go the the doc now if I have time. I think it may be the water that's stuck in there from squirting it in the ear. Can I blow dry it to evaporate the water? Is my brain close to there? I don't wanna evaporate what's left of it.

i notice that the only people who have these problems with their ears are the ones who are always messing with their ears.

The hearing in your other ear may be getting better because it's had to compensate for the loss on the other side. Get a turkey baster and blow air as hard as you can into your blocked ear so the blockage goes to the other side. (If it goes through your head it's better. Trust me, I know these things.) I wouldn't use a blow drier. It could evaporate what's left of your brain.
