I forgot about those. They really do work. I'm not sure if they would if wax is caked on though. They've helped me the most when I've had a bad sinus infection.

Actually, it doesn't dissolve. It just moves through the ear canal into your cranium adding to the mass of your current brain tissue.

The OTC stuff I used was a peroxide but not hydrogen peroxide, speicially for ear wax. I used that and ran hot water in squirts from a bulb into my ear to try and clear it out. Did'nt really work but now I have this pain and blockage and it kept me up most of the night!

I may go the the doc now if I have time. I think it may be the water that's stuck in there from squirting it in the ear. Can I blow dry it to evaporate the water? Is my brain close to there? I don't wanna evaporate what's left of it.

a couple of more things here. never use q-tips. for some people maybe ok but for some that have excessive buildup you can actually push the wax into the canal further. one of the best ENT's in my area told me to go home and burn my q-tips. he wanted them outlawed. thats what a couple of drops of baby oil twice a week will take care of your ear very nicely sir.

never squirt water in your ear. what happen is you forced water behind the builduo and now it is sitting back there causing you to hear funny. straight luke warm hydrogen peroxide. lay on your side, pour the peroxide in your ear and let it sit for few minutes. repeat as neccessary. it will clear up in a day or so.

and disolve just means breaking it up to get it out of there. it does not disappear.

take from someone who has more wax buildup than your normal person.

Thanks bro. Again, what does "get it out of there" mean? You say it should clear up in a day or two, but do NOT use Q-tips. Should I NOT stick anything INSIDE the ear to "get it out"? Wait till it comes to the surface? Stupid questions, but as you can tell, I did'nt do a good job the first time.

The pain is still there but very slightly subsiding. I think I did exactly what you say not to do. I "pushed" the Q-tip into the canal and when the wax was soft, it must have pushed everything inside further. Now sounds are muffled. Next time ENT to clean my ears. Not taking any chances.

I also did squirt hot water directly into the ear right after the solution "softened" everything up. that may have added to the "pushing" everything further into my canal.

When I talk my head hurts from the echos and shit! 3 hours of sleep last night from the pain. Damnit! I may ban someone today just cause I'm pissed off.
