Take this with a grain of salt, as I am not a true "bodybuilder".
I hate clomid. I think that it sucks. Yes, it will help alleviate gyno and it will return your nads to normal size. However, the emotional effects (for me, at least) negate any benefits of its use. I think that as long as you stay motivated (which, admittedly, is hard to do when discontinuing AAS), keep training hard/regularly, and eating/resting correctly, you will keep as much muscle/strength as possible, whether or not you are taking an anti-e.
I base this opinion primarily on performance. I am not the kind of person who stands in front of a mirror 24/7. I base my results on numbers in the weight room. Clomid has not, in my experience, made any difference in the amount of weight/work I can do after a cycle. I usually recover within a few weeks regardless of whether or not I use clomid. And when I don't use it, I do not break down and cry to my girlfriend. When on clomid...well, that is another story. Arimidex seems to be the best option WRT fighting the estrogenic sides after a cycle in my experience. I don't really use anti-e's during a cycle unless my h20 retention gets out of hand. To each his own, I guess. But on a strictly performance-based level, clomid does not do anything for me. I am sure it is individual though.
