I also heard that transporters were not too far off. They will solve our mass transportation problems. At first they will only be available in large cities due to their initial size, but soon they would be ready for home installations. Unfortunately, they will make the nanobots obsolete as we will be able to repair human tissue in the matter stream of the transporter before the individual re-materlializes. But the nanobots will come first. What I'm worried about is the nanobots becoming angry about being replaced and made obsolete so soon. Will they revolt against humanity? Will this be the beginning of the War Of The Machines? Will we have any kind of defense against hopping mad microscopic bugs intent on killing us all?
