I certainly want to improve physically too but I also want to find a balance between being healthy and being laid back enough not to freak out if I want to go out to dinner with my family etc.

I definitely want to do this for myself....

Try to not be so fearful, as I allow my fear to hinder me (like with flying, skiing, etc)

-Get an A in at least one course during the collegiate year. I've been getting B's and C's since I started.

-Of course get into better shape.

-Take the roller hockey championship this season. (Lost in OT semi finals last season)

-Beat my old time of 88:56.06 in the base duathlon.

-Get my Good Conduct Medal.

-Get promoted to Cpl.

I never make new year's resolutions, as I find that they never work, mainly because it is a tradition that has nothing do to with how ready or committed a person is to making one. I say any day of the year is a good time to make a resolution, as long as you follow through with it.

I agree with this as well, but I still listed some resolutions just for the fun of it. :)

Get just a little better at everything, every month, and reward myself for it. I keep a journal so I can track it. Nothing like "lift X+50 by the end of the year", more like, "lift X+5 or do X+2 extra reps easily by the end of the month".
this also applies making/saving money, meeting cuter girls, cooking, swimming, juggling, networking, coding...
