That looks like the shits man. Nice system but why the hell do these companies sell a $3500 dollar machine and still offer a 56k v90 modem with it? You'd figure that if someone can afford that machine they can also afford high speed internet.

I got my ex (back when we were still dating) a Viao laptop - 15.1" screen. that thing was/is awesome.
they come with a ton of shit on them that you don't need - but they usually are good about having the newest stuff in them - memory stick, firewire, etc...

they aren't quite as cool looking as macs - but you can find better price/performance ratios with them and they are almost as cool.

Apple blew it in the early 80's by going proprietary too early in the game.

it depends on what you are trying to do - but I do crypto stuff and 3d stuff, and the macs still aren't the best for that - you might be able to argue speed increases with the right assembler calls (like what distributed.net has done), but as for cost/performance - apple just costs too much.

but yes, they are shiny as all get out.

Sony makes some sweet looking computers. You're paying a little extra for the style, but I wouldn't mind having one. I always thought there'd be a bigger, more mainstreamed, demand for custom cases and mods by now. I want to buy a clear one for my next pc.
