As for Bush doing exactly what they wanted him to do. That is the stupidest thing I've ever heard. What they wanted was for Bush to crumble. Either do nothing or interrupt our way of life. Instead, he took the fight to them. How many terrorist attacks have we suffered on US soil since Bush "did exactly what they wanted him to?" Zero. Let me repeat that again, ZERO!!! In fact, terrorists from around the world have flocked back to the middle east (based on a call from their leaders to defeat the infidels and protect their ideals.) That is exactly what WE WANTED!!! Let their undertrained, underarmed terrorists try to take the fight to our military as opposed to our civilians (9/11). We will take that fight any day of the week.

As for "everyone having to go into the military at 18." Whoopty-fucking-doo. If the circumstances were different we might have the same thing. Fortunately for us, we have a large enough population and our military is so well trained and equipped that it is not neccessary. We have the no. 1 military in the WORLD without doing that.

As for Israelis being anti-American - I wish you and your countrymen could have a glimpse of what life would be like if the US & Britain stopped backing you. I promise you life would be 1 million times worse than it is now!

Yep.... America are responsible for Israel being in existense. I also heard they won the second world war. oh... actually some news just came in, that was after England fought the Nazis and weakened them for about 4 years. Israeli people actually single handidly defeated the Egyptians, the Syrians, the Jordanians and all the rest of the arab countries in the middle east back in 1948. All the arabs were armed by the russians. We used tractors.
Look at a map. We repeated this again in 1967 and 1973. read up on some history. then tell me that America are responsible for our safe existense. What bullshit. Actually, America is one of the only reasons that Israel have not attacked syria and jordan in the past 20 years. If anything America are safegaurding the arabs, not the israelis.

This is all very true. As most of you know, an American soldier has never fought side by side with an Israeli.

it was US pressure that stopped Israel from seizing Cairo in the 1970s. Israel used to take a much more aggressive stance with terrorists, but it was actually president Reagan who called off the dogs on that. Israel is toned down in its responses because of US pressure. Left to their own devices, they would quickly overrun Arab opposition.

Israel was created by the US and UK. But it has sustained itself since inception.

As a republican, I thought Kerry's speech was great. I was impressed, and surprised. The last few months I have been re-thinking my support for GWB. I may swing kerry this time around...even though for the last 3.5 years I have been a bush supporter. I have become seriously dismayed by Bush in the last few months, and the fact that he makes us republicans look crazy doesn't help
