Strictly in terms of reliability to state "European luxury cars" are way better than domestics isn't accurate

I'll submit on that part... As far as driveability reliability, the American luxury cars are better than the European ones. Meaning that you're more likely to suddenly need a tow for a Mercedes or BMW, than for a Lincoln or Cadillac. It's the over all quality and so many many "little things going wrong" , that I blast the American car makers for. I had a '67 Lincoln Continental 4-door convertible, which had every kind of electronic and electromechanical gadget known to mankind, and NONE of it worked by the time I had the car, but the engine always ran great, and it always made to & from wherever...

My family has owned over the years Chevys, Fords, Mitsubishi, Chrysler, Infinity, BMW, Nissan, Mercedes, Mazda, Toyota, Lexus and Hyundai.

Which would I prefer to own the most?

BMW, Infinity and Ford if I were to chose one from each part of the world based upon the most recent offerings.

I never have owned an Audi, but I'd love to have one at some point.


In all straight up honesty, the quality of vehicle as of recent from any car manufacturer has exceptional quality compared to previous generations.

Ford used to be total garbage. But now they are the best American car IMO. Even the 2013 corvette has a relatively cheap POS interior.
