b fold the truth

Elite Strongman

Well, I haven't done a log clean and press in about 2 months or more and I really surprised myself today. I have just been hammering my triceps, rotators, and shoulders through the Viking Press for a while...maybe it finally caught up.

PLEASE RIGHT CLICK AND 'SAVE TARGET AS'!!!!

Log Clean and Press
140 x 3 x 3 sets
162 x 1 x 2 sets
190 x 1
240 x 1
262 x 1
273 x 1
284 x 1
312 x 1 PR!!!!
I had done 302 last Summer but I wore my Powerlifter Belt and wrist wraps when I did it...and it was questionable if I fully locked it out or not. I had also pressed a 305 log at a contest in June...but it was an easier log than mine.

3 Board Press
225 x 3
315 x 1
365 x 1 (very easy)

Lying Dbell Tric Extensions
35's x 10 x 4 sets (15 sec rest between sets)

Thick Bar Chins
BW x 6 x 3 sets, this is the 3rd set in the clip

Face Pulls
25 x 35 reps
50 x 25 reps

One Arm Cable Curls and Side Abs were also done lightly...

PLEASE RIGHT CLICK AND 'SAVE TARGET AS'!!!!

Cheese also had a fairly solid workout by doing several sets on the log press. I believe he did the following:
190 x 5
195.5 x 1
195.5 x 2
201 x 1
201 x 2
212 x 1 and a miss

He also did board presses and missed 286 (think we found the tricep problem though).

I got Cheese doing some Face Pulls for everyone who wants to see. If you watch closely...he hits his face about every third reps and even says 'ouch' on the last rep...lol
Face Pulls

Chins

After the workout...Cheese and I had a few good laughs...lol
Imitation 1
Imitation 2
Having a laugh at Cheese...lol

Enjoy...I'm gonna be sore tomorrow..lol

nice, but man hitting a pr after a comp so soon is rediculous. Hopefully you will get in the top 20 this year coming up. Keep hammering the tris and rotators

I haven't done the log press heavy in many many months...and it felt so light. I really felt like I could have done 325 or better. Time will tell. My joints feel pretty good right now...

Making top 20 THIS year will be tough. They are doing a lot with the contests and I am not sure if/when the next pro shows will be. They are working it though.

Without a sponsor...I will not be competing for a while...

Maybe something could be worked out with GS. Maybe regular members could promise him more platinum memberships if he sponsors clint...or something.

btw clint, how does the log press compare to a regular OHP. Harder? Easier? The same?

All i gotta say is "Polish Power!"

Hey is cheese a polack? LoL

Not sure if Cheese is Polish or not...I think that he is from Illinois. Well...a cross between Illinois and Tennessee...;)

It is just different. I am pretty sure that I could easily overhead press 315 with a regular bar. The clean on the log can be VERY hard because you can't do anything but roll it up your body and on to your chest. The palms are facing...and on my log the handles are 29" apart...most logs are 24" apart. Closer, to a point, makes it easier.

I like it that you train the hard way. Btw, you guys are goofballs.

Thanks man...it is just Cheese and I out in the garage...sometimes just myself. We are all serious till we are done...then he always have a little fun. When you step back and think about what you are doing out there...alone...it is really kinda crazy. I can see my breath when I breathe doing my sets, we are dressed in many layers of clothes, lifting logs and rocks...we make do with what we have.

Simple things...so many very simple things.
