so many children taking too much test
the fact is there are many people on this board from other countries, even so - - - in spite of the numerous mistakes and injustices that our country has unfortunately committed, I cannot name even one country on this planet that is not a beneficiary of the many blood sacrifices that America has made to support and protect its allies.
even those whom we were at war with now enjoy a far higher standard of living from Germany, Japan, Former Soviet States, ALL of eastern Europe (does anyone think the wall fell because of anything other than the US military's buildup, besides Gorby's courage?) even Vietnam - ask South Korea, Philippines, Israel, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Bosnia, etc. what would have happened if the US hadn't sent its boys to war.
Moreover, it is also an unquestionable fact that democracy and representative rule is the norm today worldwide, due mostly to America's influence and the export of the American dream. that goes for the UK too! consider that 200 years ago the entire world was ruled by monarchy - not so today.
therefore I believe it is incumbent upon both Americans and Foreigners alike to be grateful for those who have served in the US military and remember what we have all gained, while honoring those who paid the price for our benefit.
