Off days cardio?

Hey, I'm bulking right now 3 days training a week. Hitting all the body parts all three days. So here's my question. Today was an off day so I hit the treadmill for a light walk on a incline for 45 min. Targeting 55-60% MHR. I wanted to just burn cals and not waste calories doing balls out cardio.

Here's the thing, my legs are pretty sore so it felt as if I did a leg workout after I was done. And I'm wandering since I train my legs 3x week, if I should lay off the treadmill or forget about it and do it anyways. I want to give me legs a good rest ya know.

See I'm usually accustomed to just conditioning my muscles for endurance and training at 70-80%MHR at cardio. So it takes a bit 4.5mph and 4-8 on the incline to reach 55-60% MHR.

Am I going in the right direction by doing this? I mean the treadmill said I burnt 400 calories? (I know it's not exact) Usually I'll burn 450 cals doing balls out cardio for 30min @70%MHR.

Just wander if I'm walking at to high of a level. My goal is not to burn carbs and raise my metabolism, but to just burn fat.

BTW: when I do balls out cardio, usually I'm at 155-165beats-per-min. which is 8mph on the treadmill.

Today I when I did a fat burn walk I was in around 110-120bpm. So that's how I'm basing my percentages.

Anyhoo, enuff rambling, Looking for some advice,

thanks

Unless you just started lifting last month 3x a week is too much; no wonder your legs are sore. split the body in half and go:

lift
lift
cardo
lift
lift
cardio
