nutritonal benefit of salads??

When trying to cutt down and lower BF, is eating a salad that good of meal? Obviously its not bad from you, but does your body get enough nutritional benefit from a salad or is it just something to fill you up? Would adding a protein source make it a better meal?
 
salad, theres hardly anything in there, like 5 cals maybe 1 carb, but nutritonally it has good benefits
as the others where saying throw on the meat!!!
 
definitly throw on the meat (lean steak/chicken/tuna/etc) AND dont forget the extra virgin olive oil & vinegar for those good fats
 
If by salad you mean spinach salad, mixed greens, you will be getting more nutrients than iceberg lettuce alone ...

and spice it up .. add some lean meat, fresh berries, low cal dressin or make your own with Olive oil & vin. and you got yourself a pretty decent meal .... :)

You can also add Almonds or crushed walnuts for healthy fats too
